Seasons Greetings_Batteries and Blessings

By Cards

Hi All,

Lately I have had a quite a few friends ask me if I could come up with some funnier Christmas cards. Today I have one that may qualify for the techy people in your life. On the exterior this card looks like any other classy christmas card.

But the inside reveals your sincerest of holiday wishes for the recipient. =)

In all honesty the interior can be customized to any sentiment. I just liked this one thought I’d pop it on this card for fun! ha!

Glad Tidings of Great Joy!

By Cards

Hi All,

Who’s ready for winter?! Oh man, I am so pumped for winter and all the holiday festivities it brings. In anticipation for the upcoming holiday season I have started to create Christmas cards. I will likely have a new one to share each day leading up to the week before Christmas. If you are interested in any of the cards please leave a comment and let me know! I’d love to hear feedback on which styles, colors, and themes you like!

On to today’s card.

For this card, I wanted to try out some inking techniques and create a snowbank. I achieved this look with some masking and 2 tone color blending of inks. I loved the results of the technique. It looks like it is watercolor with several layers of color, but truly it is a white base with 2 blues.

Hi All,

I hope you are all doing better than I am with all of your holiday shopping. I can’t believe that we are only a few days away! WOW! I’ve been cranking away in my craft room creating some cards for friends and family. Today I used some fun Christmas tags as a focal point for these cards.

Check ’em out!

I absolutely love the way these turned out! I think my favorite part is that these cards are gender neutral. They are the type of cards you’re not ashamed to give a coworker/classmate and have to walk away slightly embarrassed that the card might be a little too cutesy. I know you know what i’m talking about! Anyhow, I’m off to tackle my holiday list… I may even sneak a few of these cards into some boxes.

Ice Skate Ornament

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories, Room Decor

Hi All,

For today’s project I wanted to do an altered project. Altered projects in the craft world mean you take an item that is otherwise ordinary and…well.. alter it. =)

This project involved some large size paperclips that attached to the bottom of these stockings to create ice skates. I then inked the edges and stamped a vintage tree image. For additional dimension I hand stitched some laces with red floss and embossed a ‘noel’ sentiment to the cuff. I think these would look absolutely darling off a christmas tree or attached to  a little wreath.
