His&Hers Day 3 (Masculine Card)

Hi all,

For todays masculine card, we were given the tast to create a sentiment card. I found this to be quite challenging in that I didn’t really have any images to represente a masculine theme. I used what I had and tried to create a customized sentiment. I used the same technique as the female card. First I stamped the house image in a light toned ink and then watercolored above it.  Here is the result!

Thinking of You and Praying for You

Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow for day 4!

Hi all,

I’m on to day 3 of His&Hers and today’s lesson focused on stamping techniques for sympathy cards. Although there were several new techniques that I’d love to attempt and adapt into my arsenal  there was one in particular that I really wanted to try. The technique involves stamping an image in a light toned ink and then watercoloring (I used inktense pencils) to create a faux hand drawn image. I love the results I achieved and am happy to share my results.

Here is my feminine card:

Hi all,

We’re now on day 3 of clean & simple card making hosted over at onlinecardclasses.Today’s theme was to try and use stamps and inks in a repeating pattern, a “stamped off” pattern, or paper piecing. I really wanted to try the paper piecing technique and see what combination I could come up with for a card.

Here is my take on day 3’s challenge:

Hi all,

For Day 2 masculine card I used the uneven strips of paper again (because I didn’t have vellum to try the true technique). I like the simplicity, and that it reads straight forward.

You Have An Amazing Birthday

See ya tomorrow =)
