Hang In There

By Cards

Hi All,

I’m back with a super fun and simple card. For this card I featured some of the diecuts from the Basic Grey “what’s up” collection. There’s something I absolutely love about aqua’s and reds mixed together. I thought the combination was so bright and playful. I took the banners from the collection and pierced some holes in the corners so that I could thread in some string. I finished it with a few wooden button embellishments and wahla!

Happy Birthday Balloon

By Cards

Hi all,

I don’t know why, but I’ve been on such a hot air balloon kick lately with my cards. I think is my favorite! I’ve been getting into the practice of designing the interior of my cards to coordinate with the exterior and this card is a prime example of how awesome it is when both sides come together!

As nice as it looks in pictures, this card looks so pretty in reality.

Thanks for stopping by! =)

Online Card Class – Day 2

By Cards

onlinecardclass

Hi all,

Here we are on day 2 and challenge number 2 for Clean & Simple cards. Todays “homework” is to create a 1 layer card. Believe it or not, this was a huge challenge for me, as I always tend to gravitate toward using physical layers to create a card. For today’s card I wanted to not only make a card, but use an added technique that was shown by the amazing Jennifer McGuire using rainbow colors and watercolor inks. To get the affect I wanted I used InkTense pencils.

Here’s my take on the assignment.

Online Card Class – Bonus Day 1

Hi all,

I was super excited to wake up today to find that we had a bonus day this week for Online Card Class. The designers all had cards that were themed around die-cuts and asked for students to create a card using die-cuts. Although, I don’t own any physical wafer dies (like they used), I do own a Silhouette (die cutting machine). I immediately headed over the the Silhouette store and downloaded a free die to play with. I love the way this card turned out ! It can easily double as a masculine card.

Here’s my contribution towards Bonus Day 1
