Hello Note Cards Floral Series No.1

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories

Hello All,

I can’t even begin to describe to you how excited I am to share with you a series of notecards I have created. They are grouped in sets and are absolutely stunning in person. I tried my best to capture how colorful they are in pictures. These cards feature a gorgeous floral pattern on vellum and coordinate beautifully with the flat matte cardstock and gold cord. The interior of the cards are left blank so they are fully intended for any purpose and occasion. The bold hello sentiment is layered with dimension and even has a bit of a blue shadow peeking through.

Here’s a closer look!

Each card measures 4.25 x 5.5 inches and fits beautifully into a standard A2 size mailing envelope. I can’t wait to send these beauties out in the mail soon!

Gift Card Holders

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories

Hi All,

Welcome back! Today I wanted to share with you a fun little way I’ve been using to wrap gift cards. I’m the type person that likes to put a personal touch on each and every item I gift to another person and gift cards are no exception. Depending on the individual, I try to find a coordinating pattern (or create one) of gift wrap to suit his or her personality. The ones shown here are by Bella Lux. I am in love with the beautiful watercolor themes they create!

There are many tutorials online that feature origami folding and ways to create pockets for letters. Several of those are great ways to wrap a gift as well! There is no glue or paste involved in this project. It is simply a matter of cutting a sheet of 8.25″ square paper and folding it to create this pocket. To clean up the inside I just cut a sheet of craft paper to size to fit.

To close the holder I went with a simple white grosgrain ribbon which I tied into a bow and trimmed the edges.

How simple and fun are these?

Felt Heart Pins

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories, Room Decor

Hey all,

There’s a part of me that just loves the calming feel of stitching. I wish I was far more advanced at it, but I guess I’m more on that “practice makes perfect” path. I recently had a few friends that have asked me if I could convert some of my plush felt stitched hearts into pins. What a great idea!

I decided to take things a step further by embroidering a little floral arrangement on the hearts as well.

Not only is this great little decor, but oh boy does they stand out with the pin trend that everyone seems to be on lately!

I used a 1.5″ gold bar pin on the backs and adhered them in place. I added some stitching to them just to reinsure they stay put.

These coral beauties measure about 3″ x 3″ and packed with cotton filling.

Gift Wrap and Tags

By Cards, Room Decor

Hey All,

Thanks for all the positive feedback on the tags post from the previous day. I thought I would take a second and share the finished look of the wrapping. This paper and tag combo give off a completely different vibe than a simple gift bag, doesn’t it? I love how it looks like a lot of effort went into it, but in all honesty, it’s just about having the right supplies.

The paper is from Rifle Paper Company. I love that a majority of their papers are matte finished. I love using a matte paper and then accessorizing it with gold (reflective) embellishments. Here I embellished with 1/16″ gold cord and a tag from Gooseberry Moon (check out the previous blog post for links to her awesome downloads).

I have one more fun project to share with you in regards a fun way to use up small amounts of wrapping. I think you’ll love it! Stay tuned and see you tomorrow!
