Too Much Love For Just One Day

By Cards

Hi all,

I hope everyone has been enjoying the start of summer and getting in lots and lots of sunshine! It’s been insanely hot here on the east coast and it seems that no amount of air conditioning helps!  One major problem is that the craft room doesn’t have an air condition unit and makes card making some what of a difficult task. But I am pushing through the heat wave and posting up some new blog posts just for you! =)

Today’s card was created using supplies from the May 2012 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. I am in love with the kits this company puts out, and am excited to work through them to get some new cards posted. The kit comes with coordinating papers, stamps, and embellishments so helps crank out cards. I think this kit has been my favorite so far. The colors are really nice, and there are so many nice tones and textures to work with. I made a few cards throughout the day and had a few strips of pattern paper as scraps…I just couldn’t throw them away, so I decided to make a banner card out of them. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to like my page on Facebook for some sneak peaks on other projects, and updates on all things crafty.

Easel Memo Card

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories

Hi All,

Here’s another project I have for the upcoming craft fair. These card fold closed to a standard 4.25” x 5.5″ card. When opened it turns into an easel that reveals a stack of sticky notes for easy memo writing and doodling. Each pen also coordinates with the theme of the card.

These will be available at the upcoming craft fair and on Etsy.

Gnome For The Holidays

By Cards

Hi All,

Today I have 2 holiday cards to share. I wanted to crank out some Christmas cards for friends and a few for the craft show this weekend. For this card I used stamps from Simon Says Stamp and color blended with Derwent Inktense Pencils. Inktense pencils are similar to color pencils in looks, but work like watercolors in that they blend well with water. The final look gives a bit of a gradient without any pencil stroke marks.

Here’s the watercolored gnome trimmed out and given a christmas themed background.

I added in a coordinating interior design on this card (not pictured). I think it turned out pretty cute.

Merry Christmas Dear

By Cards

Hi All,

This is part 2 to my other post today. I used the same techniques for this card (inktense pencils and color blending). This stamp set from Simon is great for sentiments with a play on words. I thought the play on ‘deer’ vs. ‘dear’ was adorable.

Here’s the deer that I colored using Inktense pencils.

I’m hoping to have a few more cards done before the craft show and can’t wait to share them with you soon!
